All over the world, record-breaking crowds have watched in awe as the Drepung Loseling monks lay down millions of grains of sand to create Mandala Sand Paintings. The creation of a sand painting generally requires four to five days, although shorter and longer residencies are certainly possible.
The photo exhibit is a collection of 21 stunning color images on loan from Tibet Image Bank, London. The vistas of Tibetan landscapes and the depictions of daily life in Tibet are wonderful complements to the Mandala Sand Painting
